At the crucial meeting, the local ordinary, Most Revd E.A. Badejo thanked the chaplain for the good job he is doing with the students. He as well recognized the effort of Rev. Sisters working with students in the different chapters in the diocese as well as the NFCSers themselves. While addressing the gathering, the Bishop admonished the members to have "personal plan for compassion and Mercy". Sharing his experience during the visit of Ibadan Province led by the Archbishop of Ibadan and Apostolic Administrator of Osogbo, His Grace Most Revd Dr. Gabriel Leke Abegunrin to Borno between 20th and 23rd of June, 2016, the Bishop told the students to always show love and concern to those in need and especially to those who are experiencing persecution and be interested in Inter-Religious Dialogue. To that effect, he challenged the body to subsequently include issues happening in the Church in their programmes especially in this Jubilee Year of Mercy of Mercy. The chaplain together with the executive members were very appreciative of the Bishop's presence and his words of encouragement and challenge.
