The Catholic Nurses Guild of Nigeria is the umbrella body of all the nurses who are Catholic Christians. In spite of the fact that the members are quite few in Oyo diocese, they are making great strides. This is what Oyo Diocese is known for and the nurses are not lagging behind through the concerted efforts of the members
This came to light again when on Wednesday 23rd September, 2020, the National President of the body who happens to come from Oyo Diocese, Mr. Anthony Adetoro (a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Agunpopo, Oyo), came in company of Mrs. Elizabeth Agblonon (a member of St. Bernadines Catholic Church, Owode, Oyo) to pay a visit to His Lordship, Most Rev. Emmanuel Adetoyese Badejo. There they presented the product of the guild, a beautiful and hygienic hand wash, to the bishop.
In response, the Bishop expressed gratitude for their effort which is laudable considering how few they are in number. He promised them that this product will get to the nooks and crannies of the Diocese where it will be another source of awareness for the people not to neglect the safety measures against COVID’19 and never to think that they cannot be productive, no matter how limited their means are.
