CWO OYO DIOCESE PAYS CHRISTMAS COURTESY VISIT TO BISHOP BADEJO

The Catholic Woman Organization (CWO) of Oyo Diocese paid a Christmas Courtesy Visit to the Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Oyo, Most Rev Emmanuel Adetoyese Badejo in his Office on Tuesday 10th of December, 2019.

They entourage that consisted of organization members from all the Deaneries of the Diocese sang special Christmas songs, thanked him for his assistance and support so far, told him about some of their future plans and prayed for the Bishop and the continued growth of the Diocese. The Diocesan CWO President, Mrs Juliana Alade appreciated the untiring efforts and support of the Bishop for them and the Diocese which has made them successful in all their endeavours. She thanked him for the Chaplain and Sister Coordinator that has been guiding the body and for making some of their plans like the purchase of a bus possible and how that has made them a pace setter in the province as it was after they got theirs that others started getting too. She also made mention of the fact that the tenure of the present executives will end the coming year.

The Diocesan CWO Chaplain, Fr Joseph Adejumo who accompanied them on the visit also thanked the Bishop for his fatherly love, advice and benevolence. He made mention of some of their plans to start work on the building that was given to the Organization and also applauded the sacrifice, dedicatedness and commitedness of the women.

The Bishop in response thanked the women for having an exemplary and formidable organization that serves as example to others and for their countless efforts towards the growth of their organization and the Diocese as a whole which was possible because of their love and togetherness. He lauded them specially for taking charge of engagement programs instead of contracting it out to people who manipulate and do all sorts of things in order to make more money. He also made known his gladness at the number of marriages that amounted to more than 15 just between November and December, according to him – “this might not have been possible if you women fail to play your part on your children” as their impact is noticed through the well grooming of their children.

“We believe in your untiring efforts. Care of the children, youths, fathers, the Church, etc. Therefore greet and say kudos to all your members for the great work you’ve been doing that has been fostering development. We have good priests and religious too because they come from good homes and you are the ones in charge of the house” – he concluded after which he prayed for them as they continued their scheduled visit to the Bishop Emeritus.
