As another way of assisting the widows in the diocese to become better equipped to support their families and achieve more in life, on Wednesday 3rd of June, 2020 at the Jubilee Conference room, the Catholic Bishop of Oyo Diocese, Most Rev. Emmanuel Adetoyese Badejo gave grant support to about twenty (20) selected widows across the diocese and charged their Parish Priests to help monitor the execution of their various plans.
The Programme Coordinator, Fr Wuraola congratulated the women who are the first set to benefit from the grant support program and made it known that the Bishop will be getting feedbacks through the Priests about the fruitfulness of the program.
A resource person from the Justice Development and Peace Movement (JDPM), Mr Dominic Taiwo lectured the women briefly on putting the funds to better use, avoiding procrastination in implementation, being diligent, attitude towards customers and differentiating between their capital and profit and many other things that will assist them in making the funds productive after which some of the priests present also added their own advice.
After the presentation of the grants to the women, Mrs Elizabeth Ogundiwin thanked the Bishop, Priests and the beneficiaries on behalf of the others.
